Summit Pet's 2009 Open House Trade Show draws large crowd!

On September 19th and 20th, 2009, Summit Pet Product Distributors held its annual two-day Open House Trade Show in Greensboro, NC.  243 retail accounts and over 100 manufacturers were present for the event which took place at Summit Pet’s 130,000 square foot warehouse facility.  An estimated crowd of over 500 people attended the show each day. 

During Open House, attendees were encouraged to browse the aisles of Summit Pet's warehouse to view our ever-growing list of over 14,500 catalog items in stock.  In addition, a fully catered lunch was served to those in attendance.  Summit Pet also provided onsite caricature artists to render free drawings.  Hourly door prizes, professional massage therapy, and snack stations rounded out the festivities.

On Saturday evening, Summit Pet's annual Appreciation Dinner took place in the Guilford Ballroom at the Sheraton Four Seasons Hotel.  The Appreciation Dinner was held to thank the many customers, manufacturers and employees who have been instrumental in Summit Pet’s success.  Following the dinner, Senior Vice President Mike Copeland presented the Best Single Booth award to Penn Plax and the Best Multi-Booth award to Nema-South.  This year's dinner also featured a hilarious performance by renowned comedian Don Friesen.

After the live entertainment, customers were invited to stick around to play interactive gaming with a chance to win exciting prizes.  Micro Reality Racing, Wii games, electronic golf and target shooting were just some of the games on display this year.    

Summit Pet Product Distributors was greatly encouraged by the strong customer showing this year despite the recent economic climate.  We thank all those in attendance and are currently making plans for the 2010 Customer Appreciation Trade Show that will take place in Atlanta next spring.   We look forward to seeing you there!
